1) Do you have to be a CCISD student to come to the Con?
No. We are happy to invite our community members to join us at this event. All parents are welcome to attend this event. Parents of elementary age children are required to attend with their students. Parents of intermediate age students are strongly encouraged to attend the event with their students. All attendees above the age of 4 will be charged for a wrist band.
2) How much does it cost to come to the Con?
$10 per person, CASH only.
3) How do you get tickets?
Participating CCISD libraries will offer pre-sales for CCISD students and their guests. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door on the day of the event.
4) Are parents encouraged to attend?
Absolutely! This will be a fun event for the whole family! Parents of elementary age children are required to attend with their students.
5) At what age do people have to pay?
Children that are 4 and under are free, but must be with an adult, not older brother or sister.
6) What is the start and end time of CreekCon?
CreekCon will be Saturday January 24, 2015. Our first session begins at 9am and our last sessions finishes at 4pm. Doors will open at 8:45 AM for you to go to your first session. You will be allowed re-entry with your wrist band, but only through our registration entrance door. Please have your ride pick you up no later than 4pm.
7) What are the expectations of behavior?
You are a welcome guest of Clear Creek High School. Please follow standards of behavior customary for a school function including but not limited to:
- Keep your hands/feet to yourself at all times, no exceptions. PDA and play fighting will not be tolerated.
- Eat and drink only in the designated food area. Eating and drinking in the auditorium, classrooms, cafeteria, auxiliary cafeteria or any other non-designated place is prohibited.
- Keep lines to single file.
- Refrain from use of foul, violent or hostile language and keep your speech volume at an acceptable indoor level.
- Be respectful of all Con attendees.
- Respect the property of CCHS/CCISD.
- Alcohol and tobacco products including e-cigarettes are forbidden by state law regardless of the age of the person in possession of them.
- No animals are allowed o – exceptions include ADA working animals with papers and verification.
Any person failing to meet these expectations of behavior, or any person that fails to comply with a request of a Con organizer will be asked to leave without a refund.
8) Where do I enter/park?
This event is located at Clear Creek High School, and the entrance is located behind the portables. If you put in CCHS’ address into your GPS it will be confusing, so we recommend you use Clear Creek Intermediate’s Address, 2451 East Main Street, League City, TX 77573, then look back at Clear Creek High School for the portable buildings and park as close as you can to them. 9) What are the standards for dress?
We are excited to see you dressed up in CosPlay (in character) if you choose. The standards of dress will be very similar to a normal school day. All costumes should be modest and not violent. Please make sure to read over these specific rules and understand final decision of what is appropriate or not will be made by the Con organizers. Refunds will NOT be given for participants that come in inappropriate attire and are not allowed access. If your outfit is questionable – DO NOT WEAR IT!
All participants must wear their CreekCon wrist band. Any person without a wristband will be asked to leave.
Absolutely NO costume weapons will be permitted. If there is any question, it will not be permitted.
Nothing can cover the face so as to prevent the identity of the participant from being recognized. (masks, excessive face paint, head coverings, etc.)
Clothes, jewelry, and other accessories that contain violent, suggestive, inappropriate, or vulgar slogans or images, or advertise illegal products, alcohol and/or tobacco, are prohibited.
Inappropriate clothing includes, but is not limited to, cut-offs, halters, strapless garments, spaghetti straps, open underarm shirts, tank tops, pajamas, boxer shorts, and clothes that expose the midriff or the underarm or any part of the chest.
Any garment, regardless of what it is called, must be worn no shorter than mid-thigh.
Skirts and dresses must come to at least mid-thigh when the participant is seated.
Pants or shorts shall be appropriately sized and worn at the natural waistline.
Appropriate clothing and shoes in good repair are required.
Spiked and/or leather accessories and/or chains are not permitted (wallets, etc.)
Any type of garment that can be interpreted as gang-related is not allowed on campus.
All vendors, workshop hosts and volunteers must wear their badges while fulfilling Con related duties.
